What You Need to Know About Twitter

Have you ever wanted to learn all about Twitter, but just didn’t know where to start. Well, you no longer have to look any further. The social networking site that has also been called a mini-blog is a service that allows people to send and receive updates, also know as tweets.

The tweets allow members to send a message of up to 140 characters. That message is then displayed on their Twitter page and sent to anyone that’s added to their contact list or anyone who’s added them to theirs.

If members don’t want everyone to see what they’ve written, there are two options. They can either block specific people, which also prevents those blocked from contacting them entirely or they can send a direct message to a specific person that can only be read by them.

Of course there is a lot more about Twitter than just the above basics, but once you get the hang of it, it’s fast, fun and best of all it’s free!
