Three Cheers for Lazy People

Where would we be
without lazy people?

Many people aren't willing

to expend any EFFORT.

That's GREAT news for you.

Lazy people are easy
to compete against.

My preference is to compete against
lazy people who won't spend anything
on learning or self education.

People say really, really stupid things,
like, "I can't imagine ever spending
$XXX dollars just for information."

I say, "Hallelujah!"

THAT is the kind of person
I want to compete against.

That's the average type of person
that thinks they're in business.

A little know-how, a little superior
strategy and a little work and you
can blow them out of the water.

And, that's why I love network marketing.

There's NO competition!

The 4-Hour Work Week

The 4-Hour Workweek is a
really HOT book right now.

And, it should be...

It's an awesome book!

Great ideas...

Great information...

Great resources...

I wish I had written it.

I've been working about 4 hours a week,
or less, for about 4 years now!

Beats me why so many people
want to keep on doing
what they've always done...

Which is work 40-50-60 hours a week
and more, at a dead-end j-o-b.

And live their lives
just-over-broke.

Oh well, it's their choice.

I'm thinking, that since you're
reading this blog, that maybe,
just maybe, you're ready to
break out of your rut.

Read some of the articles
in the archives...

Make sure you read
"The Part-Time Millionaire"

I think it's in April, not sure.

Then call me.

What I do ain't rocket science.

A blind dog with a note in
its mouth could do it.

Specialized Knowledge

I believe in buying secrets.

I believe in specialized knowledge
and "know-how".

I also believe the most important part
of the whole equation is what you DO.

What you DO is as important
as what you KNOW.

Doing requires confronting what
is NOT comfortable to you.

Watching DVD's and going
to seminars is comfortable.

DOING is not.

Why?

It's a learning curve.

Things don't work.

Things aren't as simple
as you wish.

That's part of life.

But if you really wanna make it happen,
you gotta focus on DOING.

And the main reason I bring up this
uncomfortable and unpopular truth
is because I want YOU to succeed.

My products for the most part
are NOT about secrets.

They're about DOING.

Yeah, that isn't as sexy and interesting and fun.

But do you wanna be entertained?

Or do you wanna make money?

If you wanna make money, then buy
your "know-how" carefully and
focus on DOING.

You don't HAVE unless you DO.

You gotta confront ACTION.

You gotta do things you are
NOT comfortable with.

You gotta pick up the phone and
call people or do interviews.

You gotta write things like sales letters
that are new learning curves.

And yes, you can outsource some
or all of the above --

IF you have the money to do it.

And can confront SPENDING the money
to hire people to do things.

And confront the idea you probably will
end up spending money on some things
that are junk or done wrong.

The basic questions are:

Who are you selling to?

What you selling them?

And how are you finding them?

But I'll spell them out:

Do you have your target market
or target audience yet?

That for a lot of people is the point
at which they stop or get stuck.

All things being equal, you're best off
selling something you can at least get
passionate about.

That's why I do marketing information
and nutritional products...

Looking for a few pearls
in a sack of oysters?

Call me...

I can help.

A Basic Economic Principle

Every once in a while,
basic economic principles
are important to remember.

For example...

You price everything you own
above fair market value.

That's why you still own it.

The economy depends on
disagreement over value.

You sell when the money is
worth more than the thing.

The other guy buys when the thing
has more value than the money.

A "disagreement" that produces
a profit for both sides!

The reason you want economic activity
is not to keep people busy and off
the streets...

But, that every voluntary trade
increases the wealth of both sides...

...And so increases the standard
of living of the nation.

The more activity, the higher
the standard of living.

It's magic...

And it all comes from a
"disagreement" over value.

eBay Classifieds Exposed

You've seen those "Classified Ads" on eBay...

You ever try to set on up?

Ha!

There is a lot confusion about
HOW to put up a classified ad
on eBay.

Even eBay has little or no
user info on this topic.

Here's WHAT you need to do:

Two steps are required here...

First, you need to find the categories
that allow
classified ads.

Second, you need to find the hidden tab that turns them on.

For whatever reason, eBay seems to hide these things.

To see what eBay categories
accept classified ads:

STEP 1:

From the eBay.com homepage:

1- Click on "advanced search" (top of screen)
leaving all fields blank

2- Click on "search" leaving all fields blank

3- Under the "format" drop down box,
select "classified ads" and click
the "show" button out to the far
right hand side of the drop down boxes

You'll see a bunch of eBay categories
with zero listings, but scroll way down...

You'll see some categories
with hundreds of listings.

The listings with zeros aren't
eligible for classified ads.

The rest ARE eligible.

This will also get you an idea
of how few people are using
the classified ads!

Take note of the "eligible" category
you'll be using to list your item
before moving to STEP 2.

STEP 2:

Set up an ad in one of the approved categories:

1- From the eBay.com home page click
on "sell" and insert your item title
description

2- Proceed to the page where
you select your category

3- Select a category that allows classified ads
(from STEP 1)

4- Once you proceed to the page
titled "Sell: Create Your Listing"
scroll down to the section titled
"How you're selling".

At the top of that section
you should see FOUR tabs.

One of them is "classified ad"
ASSUMING that you've chosen a
category that ALLOWS classified
ads (from STEP 1 above)

Hope this helps some...

The KEY to Massive Marketing Success

All of the Millionaire Marketers
know this "secret" or key to
MASSIVE SALES:

=> Creating demand is hard.

=> Filling demand is much easier.

Don't create a product, then
seek someone to sell it to.

Find a market - define your customer -
then find or develop a product for them.

A Free Internet Tool That Can Add Thousands to Your Bottom Line

A Free Internet Tool That Can Add
Thousands to Your Bottom Line
By Larry Fredericks

Imagine a "magic" well that you could tap
into any time you wanted -one that would
make it possible for you to simply drop
a bucket into it and pull up any of the following:

- New customers for your company
- Excellent employees
- Skilled consultants in almost any field
- People with cash who want to invest in your business
- Buyers or renters for your real estate

Well, this is not a fairy tale.

With the CraigsList website, you can
do all of the above and a lot more.

And you can do it for free!

CraigsList was founded in 1995 by self-described
"computer geek" Craig Newmark when he started
using a list server to post notices about events
in the San Francisco area.

People eventually began using his site to post notices
for job openings, cars for sale, apartments for rent,
and even personal ads.

The site grew by word of mouth,
and now serves 450 cities worldwide,

gets more than seven billion page views each month,

and ranks with Google, Yahoo, eBay, AOL,
and Microsoft as one of the top 10
most-heavily trafficked English-language websites.

Here’s how to harness the power of CraigsList:

CraigsList Is a Fantastic Place to Find
Job Seekers in Practically Any Industry

If you’re looking for someone to do just about
any kind of job - mow your lawn or refinish
your cabinets, for example - you will probably
find a qualified candidate on this site.

I posted an ad for a Web page builder in the Miami area.

Within 24 hours, I was inundated by over
50 applicants, most of whom were offering
their services at very reasonable rates.

With a little effort, I was able to find a
qualified individual who was willing to do
the work from thousands of miles away for
$12 an hour.

And he built a site for me that had quite
a few complicated features, such as:

- An automated shopping cart for my customers
to place credit card orders
- An automated product-delivery system that
instantly delivers my product(a book)
as a PDF file to the customer
- A number of links and pages that incorporate
quotes, photos, and other graphics

This very sophisticated website cost me
approximately $120 - total - to construct.

But CraigsList can offer you much more
than access to Internet webmasters.

You can use it to recruit full-time or
temporary employees for any business.

It costs nothing to post job-recruitment ads
for all but a few cities (including New York,
Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., Boston, Seattle,
San Diego, and San Francisco).

You Can Create Income With CraigsList, Too!

There are several ways to generate income with CraigsList.

If you are seeking new clients, you can place your
own advertisements in the Services section.

You can also scan various forums on the site for people
who are looking for the kind of services you provide.

If you have something to sell, you can do it
on CraigsList via its Classified section.

This is a great way to make a few extra bucks
the next time you clean out the attic.

And you could conceivably make substantial profits
by selling high-ticket items like houses, cars,
or furniture, just to name a few.

5 Steps to Getting Started:

1. Go to CraigsList.org and select the city where
you’ll be conducting your buying/selling/hiring/etc.

2. Choose an appropriate category.

For example, if you wanted to sell a computer,
you’d go to the For Sale section of the site.

Then, within that section, you’d click on the Computers category.

3. Write a catchy headline and copy for your advertisement.

(You can choose to let people see your e-mail address or
have CraigsList forward all the responses to you…
anonymously and for free.)

4. Post your ad by clicking on the button in your
selected category that says "Post."

5. Your ad will run for 30 days before it automatically
terminates, but you can have it removed at any time.

(When you place the ad, you’ll get a confirmation via e-mail
with instructions how to edit or pull your ad.)

A word of caution:

As with all classified-style advertising,
keep in mind that you’re dealing with
strangers on CraigsList.

So protect yourself by thoroughly checking
references for the people who respond to
your job offers.

And if you’re selling something - especially
a high-priced item - ask for payment via a
cashier’s check or money order made out to you.

CraigsList is an enormously popular website
that offers many ways for you to benefit -
both in business and in your personal life.

Taking advantage of free Internet websites like this
is just one of many "street smart" tactics every
small-business entrepreneur should be engaging in.
