Our Deepest Fear

Our deepest fear is not
that we are inadequate.

Our deepest fear is that
we are powerful beyond
measure.

It is our light,
not our darkness,
that most frightens us.

We ask ourselves,

Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be?

You are a child of God.

Your playing small doesn't serve the world.

We were born to make manifest the
glory of God that is within us.

It's not just in some of us;
its in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people
permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates
others.

Predictions

You can predict a person's future
and divine his bank balance if you
know two things:

1. the books he reads, and
2. the people he associates with.

What Is Success?

Is success about money?

Lifestyle?

Working environment?

Peace of mind?

Self respect?

I think it's about all those things and more.

The definition of success varies.

Let me give you my basic definition of success:

A successful person has these six things:

PEACE OF MIND -

This means freedom from want, fear, and worry.

HEALTH -

This covers both physical and mental health.

Doesn't mean being in the shape of an
Olympic athlete, but rather that you
take care of yourself.

PART OF A COMMUNITY -

This is really important, and mostly
ignored by many people.

We are social animals, and we need
to have people around us who share
our interests.

FINANCIAL FREEDOM -

This doesn't necessarily mean
millions of dollars.

It means having enough money to handle
your needs, and/or being able to raise
money to cover any expenses.

John Lennon once said if he wanted a pool,
he'd write a song.

That's financial freedom in action.

WORTHY GOALS AND IDEAS -

This is about having a vision
of your future.

What's your future look like?

Is it making enough money working part time
to allow you a good lifestyle and more
time with your kids?

Is to retire early so you can travel?

Is it to be your own boss?

A worth goal is never expressed
in just dollar terms.

It's expressed as a lifestyle.

FEELING OF PERSONAL FULFILMENT -

This one is listed last because
it is the result of the first
five ingredients of success.

When we have or are making good
progress towards the first five
items, we feel good about ourselves.

(These six ingredients were originally
written by Brian Tracy in his book "Goals.")

On Being an Entrepreneur

Seth Godin on Being an Entrepreneur

"The first thing people considering starting
a business should do is ask themselves -
honestly - whether they're building
a freelance venture
or
an entrepreneurial venture.

A freelancer gets paid to work.

An entrepreneur makes money
while she sleeps.

There's nothing wrong with freelancing -
with creating something interesting on
a bespoke basis.

It's like having a job,
but you're the boss.

But you have to recognize that
at the beginning and build the
business accordingly.

You shouldn't raise money,
you should keep costs low,
and so on.

An entrepreneur, in contrast,
raises money and hires people
to do the work so that she
can focus on growth."

Create Your Own "TV" Station

Create Your Own "TV" Station

Turn your computer, Internet connection and
webcam into a live TV station that can broadcast
in real time to hundreds of people all at the
same time.

Currently available for free, this service allows
you to log in and start broadcasting to the world.

www.UStream.tv can make a great tool for
everything from holding a family meeting to
doing question and answer sessions with
customers and prospects.

Now, before you start threatening Walter Cronkite's
status in TV history, understand that, though the
technology rates high on the "cool" scale, the
audio and video does not rival TV quality.

The audio jumps and the video can cut in and out,
but, if you have any experience with online video,
the quality may actually surprise you by how well
it can stream to large numbers of people.
