Squidoo Basics

Just a few basics will make your Squidoo page (called a lens) really stand out and deliver the results that you want. It’s really not hard at all and with just a few simple steps, you’ll be well on your way to creating great lenses like a pro.

First and foremost, you need to make sure that you’ve filled in your bio. If your biography isn’t complete, it’s hard for people to find out what you’re like on a more personal level. People like to relate, so you should definitely give them the chance.

Don’t forget to add a photo of yourself. People want to see what you look like. And please don’t think that some hot celebrity or model will do quite nicely, because it won’t. All it does is makes you look fake. Show off the real you and people will love you for it.

Don’t share junk and call it quality. If you’re going to create a lens, you need to make sure it’s something that people really want to read. And telling someone they must buy, buy, buy your product isn’t a good idea either.

And finally, don’t forget to add photos to your lenses. While the quality of your content is a must, a great photo can also do wonders. People enjoy seeing what they’re reading about. Really.

Of course the above are only a few Squidoo basics. Once you’ve discovered how great creating lenses can be, you’ll realize the possibilities are endless!
