More on Prosperity

Last week we discussed what a life of prosperity really entails.

Quite a few of you wrote to say the message really resonated.

And more than a few of you shared that you had
medical or dental issues you hadn't yet addressed,
because money to pay for them was an issue.

Of course the knee jerk response is that the government
should provide all this for everyone.

With the presidential election heating up here in the States,
there's a lot of talk about the government providing
prescriptions, medical care, and education.

But that actually is lack and entitlement thinking.

It fosters co-dependency and enablement behavior.

On the surface it looks like prosperity thinking.

But it's actually the opposite.

Because if you believe education is a "right,"
then you have to ask who pays for it.

If you believe the government should provide
free medical care, it brings the same dilemma.

Who will pay the doctors and nurses?

Then who determines how much they get paid?

What if they don't want to work for the
government at the salary it determines?

And then what happens when no one will take those jobs
because they are basically slave labor to the government?

It takes away free enterprise, and the basic tenants
of prosperity, namely property rights and the right
to determine what you are paid for your efforts.

To finance things like medical care or education,
the government has to raise the money at the point
of a gun from the productive people, and redistribute
it to the non-productive ones.

(And for anyone who thinks I am being melodramatic
with the gunpoint language, I suggest you not pay
your taxes for a few years and watch what happens next.
You'll be arrested and imprisoned.)

Sadly today, the social order is steadily deteriorating
into a mass of people who want something for nothing
and governments around the world who want to give it to them.

The government needs you to be a worker drone in the collective,
to support the harvesting of wealth from the productive people
and providing it to the unproductive -
because this solidifies their power base.

If you watch the Democratic Party debates here,
the candidates are practically falling all over
themselves trying to sell their vision of all
the goodies they will provide the working class,
by taking them away from those evil, greedy rich people.

The Republican Party, which once upon a time was for
less government and taxation, is now desperately trying
to out Santa Claus even the Democrats.

Representative Ron Paul, the only voice of sanity
in the race, has been almost demonized by his opponents,
and the mainstream media is making a concerted message
to keep his message from getting out.

He's making a very strong showing anyway,
so perhaps the tide is turning.

When I listen to Hillary, Obama and John Edwards,
there is a part of me that wants to rally around
the flag with them, reach for greatness, and do
the right thing by providing for all of the people
who are struggling.

Then my sanity returns.

I want the same things they do.

I do want a great country that offers education,
health care, and a safety net for poor people.

It wasn't that long ago that I was a poor people myself.

But for the government to provide all these things
is Socialism, and Socialism is simply Communism
with lipstick on.

Communism is one of those things that looks good,
sounds good, and looks good on paper.

Unfortunately it just doesn't work.

One visit to Cuba, China, or the former Soviet Union
will prove that beyond even a shred of doubt to
any rational person.

John Edwards preaches eloquently about being selfless,
and taking care of others.

He loves to rail against the drug companies and the
insurance companies and just about any corporation
that is profitable.

It sounds like a message of prosperity,
but the end results of his policies
would be the antithesis of prosperity.

People today live decades longer than they used to.

That's because of dramatic improvements in medical equipment,
drug treatments, and other advances.

The drug companies spend billions of dollars
in research to develop those drugs.

Hopefully part of their motivation is they want to help people.

But another reason is they want to be the first to market
with drugs that make a lot of money for the corporation.

That free market demand is what drives innovation.

Now if you listen to Senator Edwards, you'd get
the feeling that all corporations are evil.

But what is a corporation really?

It's a legal entity owned by the shareholders.

And who are the shareholders?

Everyday people who are investing for their retirement.

Trust funds set aside for widows, children,
and non-profit organizations.

It would be nice if all those researchers would
work for free and develop cures for everything.

But how would they feed their own families?

Who would pay for the millions of dollars of laboratory equipment?

A guy came up to me after a speech, chastising me
for suggesting that people should manifest more
prosperity in their lives.

He talked about the holes in the ozone layer,
the depleting natural resources,
and many starving people in the world.

I asked him who he thought was going to save the world.

He replied nurses and schoolteachers.

I told him he was insane.

You probably couldn't pick two occupations more

overworked and underpaid than those two.

They don't have time to save the world,
because they are too busy struggling
to meet their minimum credit card payments.

If there is one thing I know in every fiber
of my being it is this:

the world will be saved by rich people.

Poor people carry picket signs protesting
the vanishing rain forests.

(Do you know how many trees died for those signs!)

Rich people, we BUY the rain forests, and deed them into trusts.

You see the indigenous people sell these lands
because they need the money to live on.

So foresters often buy it and chop down the trees for wood.

But charitable organizations (financed by the donations
of wealthy people) can buy them instead.

Cures for disease, solutions to starvation, and better technologies
to solve famines will come from money.

Lots of it.

Composers can compose, artists can sculpt and paint,
and dancers can dance, because their organizations
receive grants from rich people.

For the most part, the wonderful inventions that provide us
with better lives - from computers, and cars, to medical
equipment, and airplanes, are developed because people
have a profit incentive to invest in them.

It's true we don't rally need remote controls.

And it would be better if you got your fat ass off the couch
every time you wanted to change the channel.

But if you choose to spend some of the money you've earned
to have that convenience, I for one don't begrudge you.

The truth is, the population is growing
and there is no going backward.

It will take more power, natural resources,
and food to supply the world.

Unless you believe that we should all move back
to the jungles, wear palm fronds, and cook by campfire,
we will need great innovations to survive.

And those innovations will likely come from
companies trying to make a profit.

The free enterprise system and the profit motive
causes innovations to happen more often and far
more rapidly than it would otherwise.

I don't know about you, but when I'm going to the 27th floor
in a building, I'm grateful to have an elevator available.

Now it's not that I don't want people that need help
not receive it.

I just don't want the government deciding
who I help and how much.

I hope you help others and contribute to charity.

Personally, the number one deduction on my tax return
for the last ten years or so has been charity.

And I anticipate it will remain
so for the rest of my life.

And I have often helped others with support,
even though no one else knows of it,
and I don't get a tax credit.

But here are the three criteria I use:

1) The person or organization is worthy of the support.
2) I can afford to do it.
3) It brings me happiness to do it.

That alone is what determines on whom and where
I spend my charity dollars.

It certainly has nothing to do with who is the
"neediest," or what causes are politically correct.

I support a great deal of causes.

The Opera, symphony, my church, wildlife funds,
disease prevention and cures, homeless shelters,
runaway shelters, and scholarships.

I have bought computers for aspiring entrepreneurs,
stage clothes for upcoming Opera singers, and
funded martial arts training for foster kids.

I have supplied academic scholarships for deserving kids,
sponsored more amateur sports teams than I can count,
and bought holiday presents for hundreds of kids who
wouldn't have got any.

But remember last week I said manifesting prosperity
required being selfless AND selfish?

It's true.

That's why I support all of these causes.

Because it actually brings me joy to do so.

As you look around the world today, it is easy
to view man as a helpless, subservient robot.

Many people are just worker drones in the collective,
living their lives of quiet desperation.

We are surrounded by mediocrity and fear.

But if you look a little deeper,
you see something else...

You see the heroism of someone like Bill Cosby,
standing up to tell truth.

You witness Dwayne Wade defy the laws of gravity.

Marvel at the triumph of humankind's vision in
the Great Pyramids, the Golden Gate Bridge,
and skyscrapers to the clouds.

You experience one of Puccini's Opera,
Hemingway's books, or a song by Prince.

You're in awe at the courage of a young athlete
paralyzed in an accident, someone battling cancer,
or a single mother raising her children alone.

You begin to recognize the enormity of the human spirit,
and the greatness we are capable of.

You realize that man is not inherently weak and helpless;
he just becomes that way when he refuses to use
his most powerful tool - his mind.

Or more specifically, the consciousness you can develop with it.

And you recognize that you yourself can do great things,
and do them for the right reasons.

You can be bold, daring and imaginative, and live a life
of health, happiness, and abundance, all while leaving
this world a better place because you were walking
on it for a while.

And that is real prosperity.

Retailing in MLM

If your MLM product is NOT SELL-ABLE
to the general public...

Do you REALLY have a REAL BUSINESS?

Think about it...

Would you buy a sandwich shop if the sandwiches were not sell-able?

Would you buy a gift shop if the merchandise was not sell-able?

Would you buy a health food store if the products were not sell-able?

Are you in MLM or are you in BUSINESS?

Are you better off today?

Thanksgiving Day is a perfect day to ponder where we are...

So here goes.

In 1980 on the presidential campaign trail,
Ronald Reagan asked Americans,

"Are you better off today than you were four years ago?"

The answer that most people silently gave themselves is a

very big reason Mr. Reagan won the American Presidency
twice - and big.

This is a consequential question for us as network marketers also.

Starting a little business of one's own is no trivial thing.

So think back a moment...

To six months ago.

Assuming you intended that the business would make

you better off in say six months (at least)...

Did that happen?

If not, how can you change that?

The Box, or "Why You're Not Wealthy"

Everyone lives in a box.

Your perception of "how things are" is your box.

Own a house?

It's in your box.

Got kids?

They're in your box.

Earning $43,565 at a job you don't like?

That job is in the box.

So is the $43,565.

Here's what else:

If you believe you have to work hard to be successful...

...that hard work is in your box, too.

If you think that you're not wealthy because of your lack of education...

...that lack of wealth is in the box.

Along with your lack of a college degree.

It's all in there.

Everything you have and accept as "how things are" is in the box.

Now, here's what's also true...

Everything you want from life that you don't already have...

...is outside your box.

And the "odds" --

in terms of the percentage of people who make the choice --

the "odds" are that you will never get to have what you want
simply because your wants aren't powerful enough to overcome
your insecurity of being outside the box.

Get that.

Because that's the only thing keeping you from getting
what you want: the insecurity, the fear or the anxiety
of doing the things that will bring those goals
INTO your box.

Thus, success is simply a choice.

So, why aren't you wealthy already?

Simple:

Because you haven't chosen to BE that person.

You're busy staying in your box.

In fact, maybe you've decided not to be wealthy.

You might think, "Tony who would decide not to be wealthy?"

Well, you probably didn't say "I've decided not to be wealthy"....

But if you're not wealthy it's because you have
made the choices that do NOT lead to wealth.

And it's really the same thing.

You are where you are because --
either through action or inaction --
this is really where you wanted to be.

In fact, some of you are reading this right now and
you're appalled that someone should say such a thing.

That someone would suggest that your "not being wealthy"
has been a choice on your part.

You might even have a lot of "monkey chatter" going
in your head right now listing all the perfectly
good reasons why not being wealthy is not your choosing.

And here's the catch:

The reasons you give yourself for why you're not rich is
the stand that you've taken against becoming wealthy.

If you are not wealthy, you will be defending your decision
to remain in your current state EVEN AS YOU READ THIS.

If you don't believe it...

Stop right now and listen to your mind chatter.

Fortunately, the solution is quite simple.

Understand that you cannot get to where you want
to go with the same quality of thinking that
created your present situation.

Change your thinking and decisions and you change your life.

Get out of the box. Wonderful things are waiting.

Get Rid of the Frogs

"When shall I entreat for thee, and for thy servants,
and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee
and thy houses?" (Exodus 8:9)

Have you ever wrestled with one of those problems
that stubbornly refuses to go away?

It seems to be immune to all solutions.

You swat at the thing in every conceivable way,
but instead of being eliminated, it expands and
multiplies until it's wildly out of control.

An Egyptian pharaoh faced just that kind of problem,
the Bible tells us, thousands of years ago.

He was in a hot dispute with God over the future
of the Israelites, and as a result of that dispute,
he woke up one morning to find his country

swarming with frogs.

Slimy, smelly, hopping-all-over-the-place frogs.

It was a serious problem.

I'm not talking about a frog or two in the front yard.

I mean frogs were everywhere --
in their beds, on their tables.

Big old frogs in the ovens.

Little bitty frogs in the bread dough
and the drinking water.

Frogs.

Frogs in your hair.

Frogs in places you wouldn't even want to think about!

Then God made a move.

He sent His man Moses in to Pharaoh to ask,
"When shall I entreat the Lord to get these
frogs out of here?"

Do you know what Pharaoh said?

"Tomorrow."

Can you imagine that?

He could have said, "Right now! Today!"

But instead he decided he'd spend
one more night among the frogs.

You say, "That's the stupidest thing I ever heard."

Why in the world would he do it tomorrow?

I don't know.

Probably for the same reason you want
to wait until tomorrow to get saved
or healed or prosperous.

Here's what I want you to notice.

When Moses asked Pharaoh that question and he answered,
"Tomorrow," Moses said, "All right."

"So that you know there's a God in heaven,
BE IT DONE UNTO YOU ACCORDING

TO YOUR WORDS."

Let me ask you this:

How long are you willing to let that
persisting problem harass you?

When are you going to get rid
of the frogs in your life?

Do you realize they'll stay around
as long as you'll let them?

They'll be there until you finally make
a quality decision to go with the

Word of God and get them out.

Why don't you do it today?

It Doesn't Matter!

Know what doesn't matter (in network marketing)?

It.

Know what "it" is?

Take your pick of the following "its":

Having the (really, no kidding, you can prove it) best product.

Having the (really, no kidding, you can prove it) best comp plan.

Having the (really, no kidding, you can prove it) best people
who ever ran a network marketing company in the history
of the world.

None of that or those matter.

None.

One thing and one thing only matters.

You SELLING your product successfully and enrolling
business-builders in/on your team who do the same
or better.

That's it.

That's all.

"Well... you've got to have the best product,
and plan, and people to do that."

NO you don't.

Look around—in and out of network marketing.

The MOST successful business enterprises you can name
DO NOT have the "best" anything... except sales.

Yes, I know... I know...

But tell me please...

What are you "after" in your business?

Sales (which is what you are paid for)
is where the rubber meets the road.

Without that, you're driving a parked car
(even if it is a $1.2 million, 248 mph
Bugatti Veyron 16.4).

BTW, the best selling car in the world is
the Toyota Corolla with 35 million sold.

Hardly "the best" automobile in the world.

"I Can't Afford It"

"I can't afford it"

That's not true.

At least it's not true almost all the time.

Very few of your prospects
literally can't afford it.

What they are really trying to say is,
"it's not worth it."

As in -

it's not worth re-prioritizing my life...

not worth the risk...

not worth what I'll have to
give up to get this...

not worth being in debt for.

One response to repeated
cries of "I can't afford it"
is to lower your prices.

A better response is to tell a better,
more accurate story, and to tell it
to the right people.

The best response is to make something worth paying for.

It's Easier to Sponsor a Happy Customer...

The Part-Time Millionaires
Business Development System

Lead With The Product While
Selling "The Dream"

If the product doesn't make sense,
the business won't either.

Your goal is to develop a
culture of "products first".

This will protect your business
and secure your future because
business has a natural rhythm:

Up and down.

So, you need to anchor to the
strength of your product!

This will stabilize your organization even
when you experience rough waters.

In contrast to MLM, take a look at McDonalds...

With McDonalds, every franchise owner can
potentially be successful, and most are.

McDonalds works because the
fundamental business unit,
the single store, makes a profit...

So, the other stores
(as in, your downline)
are profitable too.

Your typical MLM company is
promoting a sales process
that fundamentally loses money!

“What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas.”

Monday 9:17 PM
Lake Buena Vista, FL

You ever notice, in Las Vegas
they don’t advertise the gambling?

You’ve seen the ads in the magazines and on TV…

“What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas.”

They advertise the shows and the entertainment
and the fabulous hotels and the fun and excitement…
everything but the gambling!

And where do they make their money?

On the “back-end” – the gambling.

You ever have an MLM heavy hitter call
you and pitch you on their MLM deal?

No? I didn’t think so…

That’s not the way they do it.

The high-rollers and heavy hitters
all follow the same FORMULA.

They all “lead” with an information product.

Look at Big Al…

Big Al sells seminars and books and tapes…

So does Randy Gage, Russell Paley, Mike Dillard,
Mike Stokes, the Amway/Quixtar hitters,
Herbalife players, the list goes on and on…

They all make their money before their downline shows up.

Now, you can do this too!

Quit spending money advertising your MLM opportunity…

No one’s interested!

You retail a low-cost “front-end” generic information product:
a book, CDs, “How-To” courses – to pay for your advertising
and lead generation, and make your big money on the “back-end”
product which is your MLM opportunity!

"It’s easier to sponsor a customer
than to recruit a complete stranger."

Are you beginning to see how much simpler and
less stressful it would be to have prospects
calling you up...

Seeking your help and advice, and you pointing
them to a generic information product that will
really help them?

Rather than the major TIME and MONEY investment,
not to mention the uncertainty, of an
all-together new business “opportunity”?

It takes time to grow a downline.

And you’ve got to make money in the meantime…

And that means retailing.

How many people do you know that want
to buy into your "pyramid" deal?

Yet there are millions of people already in
a network marketing business and struggling,
that are eagerly searching for information
on how to build their businesses faster and better!

Which person do you think would be easier to sell?

It’s way faster – and easier – to make $500 a month
retailing a product or service that everyone needs
than it is to build a $500 a month residual check.

Plus, you’re positioning yourself as an expert,
providing generic tools and information to the
industry...

And not out there pleading with people
to get rich with you in your new deal.

And best of all, unlike selling your business opportunity
to a complete stranger, Information Marketing is easier
to sell – you can put in on “auto-pilot”.

How often does anyone call you up to
sell you a book or marketing course?

You sell these products with sales letters and websites,
24/7, while you’re at work, sleeping, or on vacation!

Actually, you don’t sell them...

Machines do!

Websites, auto-responders, emails.

Three Warning Signs of Poverty Mentality

Three Warning Signs of Poverty Mentality
by Randy Gage

When was the last time you gave any serious thought
to your priorities, and where you expend your energy?

Can you say with certainty that you are completely
focused on ‘abundance’ and not on ‘lack’?

I don’t think people are born with an
abundance mentality or a lack mentality.

I think for many of us our priorities are the
result of subtle, subconscious ‘programming’
that determines our approach to just about
everything in life.

Instead of being programmed for success,
most people are programmed to avoid
failure.

This programming controls how you react to hundreds
of situations, each and every day. And the way you
react reveals what your programming really is.

There are many different warning signs all around
us that we are suffering from lack programming or
a poverty mentality, but none of these red flags
will be of any use until we open our eyes and
start looking for them.

Like posted traffic signs and speed limits,
these warning signs are there for our benefit,
helping us raise awareness of our programming.

Three of the most common warning signs
I see are the following:

Warning sign #1: Constant Money Fixation

What do you think about money?

When you do think about it, are you concerned
about how much of it you lack,
or how much you can manifest?

Have you ever thought about why you want
to manifest money in the first place?

Most poor people spend all their time thinking about
money (or more specifically, their lack of it).

When I was younger and broke, that’s what I did.

I was fixated on money.

I thought about all the things I didn’t have and couldn’t get.

And I was very jealous of the people who had them.

Warning sign #2: "I Hate Rich People!"

Being jealous of all the things other people
had that I didn’t have, didn't help matters.

Know where it led?

Jealousy soon turned to hate.

Soon I hated all rich people because they had what I wanted
-- nice homes, exotic cars, expensive clothes.

That’s when the real problems started,
because as much as I hated rich people,
I was working hard every day trying to
become one!

That set the stage for a whole bunch of internal conflict
that I had no idea was going on.

I ended up surging forward to success,
only to sabotage myself every time I
got close.

I snatched defeat from the jaws of
victory more times than I can count.

I thought I was programmed for success,
but was actually programmed for poverty.

Warning sign #3:
Fear-Based Decision-Making Making

Decisions based on fear of loss or failure
never leads toward prosperity.

In fact, fear-based decision-making can rob you
of any sense of happiness or joy of success,
and distort your behavior.

Have you ever seen someone experience more anguish
at losing $10 than earning $100?

Ever seen someone drive around a parking lot
for 10 minutes to avoid a one-minute walk to
the store?

These scenarios are fear-based, not prosperity driven.

The decisions are not made on what the possible benefits are,
but made in order to avoid a possible negative outcome.

How do you know what kind of programming you have?

If you really want to know if you have prosperity
programming or a poverty mentality,
look for your answer in the previous scenarios.

Do they sound familiar?

If you make decisions--particularly money and career ones--
based on the "moving away from fear" model,
you’ve got poverty programming.

If your decisions are made based on a
positive "move toward prosperity" model,
then you have success programming.

What do you do if you test poverty programming?

You’re already doing it.

Raise your awareness of your programming
and recognize it for what it is.

Of particular importance is regulating the influences
you’re getting from the TV shows and movies you watch,
the books you read, etc.

I applied the principles of a prosperity mentality,
and you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who has
had a greater degree of turnaround.

This only happened because I was willing to confront
my weaknesses, discover and eliminate the insidious
poverty mentality I had, and replace it with positive
programming.

To this day, I am ever vigilant, mindful of
what I allow myself to watch and listen to,
and the people I associate with.

The more you experience success and prosperity,
the more you’ll start to realize how little
they have to do with opportunity, chance, luck -
or even training, education, or skill.

It has everything to do with consciousness,
beliefs, and even subconscious programming
that you aren’t aware of.

You see, poverty is not an absence of money and things
-- it is a mindset.

Prosperity is not an abundance of money and things
--it’s also a mindset.

When I began studying the laws that govern prosperity,
I had to get out of my comfort zone, face fears,
and really examine my belief system.

It was hard work, and sometimes still is,
but the results are well worth the
temporary discomfort.

I share all of this with you in the hope you
too will benefit from its truth.

I want you to be healthy, happy, and rich!
